    Description

Rare Medium Dark Blue Staffordshire 3 Piece Serving Dish 19th C. Antique c.1825
Offered for sale is something I've never seen before.  It's a very unusual large size three piece serving dish from the early 19th century.  It is unmarked, possibly by Spode.  Overall, it's in very good condition but the lid does have 2 old disintegrating chip repairs, one on top of the lid edge, the second underneath the lid edge.  There are 2 very minor shallow 1/8" to 3/16" flakes on the middle piece on the top edge and two tiny nicks on the lower edge.  There is also a very minor glaze spider on the back of the base that does not break the interior glaze,  otherwise fine.  The interior glaze is clean with almost no wear at all, although for the record, there is one pinhead size open bubble in the glaze.  There is normal glaze crazing and a slight bit of age discoloration that would easily disappear with a professional cleaning.  Measures 12" in diameter, 5&3/4" deep.
